5 Things I Learned from Selling My Stuff Online

Hello friends, Happy Tuesday! :)

I was going to do Part II of selling on Poshmark as promised last week (see Part I here), but I'm really tired from my work trip and my side hustle over the weekend. Today's post is shorter, but I think it's a little more interesting! Without further ado, here are the 5 things I learned from selling my stuff online:

I think it's pretty safe to say that designer goods tend to retain their value well (still varies by brand). For example, my Louis Vuitton Emilie Wallet (used ~1 year) sold for 73% of its original price within one day after listing. If you can get designer items at a good discount (my favorite place is Nordstrom Rack!), you should be able to get your money back or even make a little bit extra.

Designer goods are also made to last. If you take care of your items, they'll still be in excellent condition after years! Fast fashion, on the other hand, will just fall apart. I personally think there's always a market for selling designer goods, because people are looking to get them at a discount.

I love subscription boxes, but I don't always use everything in the box. In the past, I just gifted the extras to family and friends. I've heard of people selling them online, but I didn't start until late last year. In fact, 3 out of my 11 sales on Poshmark were items in my subscription boxes.

How to Start Selling on Poshmark

Hello friends, happy Tuesday! :)

I just finished YOU on Netflix last week. OMG, so good and I can't wait for Season 2! Isn't it so weird seeing our Dan Humphrey being this stalker/killer character, while still so charming?! I'm also loving the KonMari series! As you might know, I’ve been selling some of my stuff and putting the money toward new things (see my last post!).

I’ve been on eBay for years and started selling there again in September last year. I've sold a lot, but it was getting a little slow around December. That's when I finally decided to try Poshmark.

I've been on the app for a month and half now and have made 9 sales, totally ~$270! It was a little bit of a learning curve for me and very different from eBay. I plan to do a more in-depth comparison between the two in the near future.

So today, we’ll talk about how to start selling on Poshmark — the basics, listing, and how to share. We’ll cover making a sale (offers, price drop etc), shipping, and getting paid next week to prevent this post from getting too long. I hope you'll find this helpful, if you also want to make some extra cash! ;)

2018 Holiday Sales Designer Purchases

Hello friends, hope you had a wonderful weekend!

Since I barely posted last year, I thought it would be fun to catch you up on my shopping adventures! ;) The holiday sales are getting better and better every year in my opinion and it's so hard to resist! Nonetheless, I'm happy with what I got these last few months and I think I got some really good deals too! :)

Okay, technically October isn't the holidays, but it just happens that's when I bought this bag! This exact color combo is sold out, but you can still it in other colors (linked below).

MCM Medium Liz Reversible Shopper ($650):

I've had my eyes on this bag ever since seeing it in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale catalog in August. I love the red with white logo, which looks very "Supreme" and perfect for the holidays. I also like that it comes with a pouch, very similar to my Louis Vuitton Neverfull. They were only 33% off at the time, which I thought was still a little high. I really wanted to see it in person, but they were IMPOSSIBLE to track down.

Money Diary: 5-Day Money Detox

Hello friends,

Hope you had a wonderful New Year! I can't believe how long it has been since I last posted, how time flies!

My 2018 Best Nine
Where have I been? Well, I traveled a lot last year and qualified for Companion Pass again with Southwest Airlines (my carrier of choice). But to be honest, I felt more uninspired and unmotivated as the year went on. When I started the blog, I thought I had a lot of interesting and original idea and I wanted to post twice a week. But the more I read other blogs or watch YouTube, the more I feel that the Internet is already SATURATED with contents. Everything has been done before, so what makes me different? It's meant to be a rhetorical question; I'm trying to figure it out, too! ;) I also didn't realize how much time posting twice a week would take! Feeling overwhelmed and uninspired, I kind of just gave up...
