My Latest Burberry Purchase

Hello friends, Happy Friday!

On Sunday, I revealed that I made another Burberry purchase. My last Burberry purchase was back in January
and I LOVED this quilted jacket, which I wore immediately the day after. Turns out I'm not the only one obsessed with it. My mom and my aunt went to get one (in different colors) the same weekend after seeing it on me. I love Burberry: the well-tailored fit, the iconic Haymarket check, and indisputable quality. The style is classic, timeless, and extremely versatile for both formal and casual wear.

If I could wear any label forever it would be Burberry. It covers a huge span of stuff. You can't go wrong with a classic trench and a pair of jeans. -- Emma Watson

In case you don't know, Burberry has combined its three labels into one brand by the end of last year. No more Burberry Prorsum (runway; Prorsum: Latin for "forward"), London (iconic, workwear), and Brit (casual). This is what the new logo looks like:
My latest purchase, as well as my entire collection of Burberry outerwear, are all Burberry Brit. Almost all the pieces at the outlet were still the old labels, but the sales associate said they will be getting the new label in the next few months. Hey, if you want to treat yourself this holiday season! ;)

Without further ado, here are the two pieces I picked up from Burberry. I will show you how they look on the models (online pictures) first, followed by how they look on me and prices etc.

Check Collar Polo Shirt in Navy
Material: 100% cotton; Size: M (runs small); Made in China

Came across it in a few colors on Amazon, but not sure about authenticity.

'Balmoral' Cropped Trench Coat with Detachable Hood in Dark Olive
Material: 100% polyester; Size: 6 (true to size); Made in Thailand

The ruffle details on the polo are so adorable! It looks great with jeans and doesn't feel too "young", which I was initially concerned about.

I have a weather-proof jacket from Columbia with thermal insulation, so I know I wanted to add something more lightweight as a transitional piece. I've been eyeing this jacket for a little while, just waiting for the best promotion. I debated between dark olive and navy for a long time in the store, but ultimately decided on the olive, which I think really compliments my skintone. I've removed the hood for now and this is how I intend to wear it: rolled-up sleeves and just knotted in the front (Learn how to tie a Burberry knot here). You can pop the collar to show off that Haymarket check!

The Labor Day Weekend promotion was: 20% off $400, 25% off $600, 30% off $850 or more, which I believe is the best promotion they do. My parents each picked out a shirt as well, which qualified us for 30% off. On the tags, "Was" was the retail price and "Now" is the outlet price. So with the additional 30% off, they came down to 55% and 51% off retail respectively, which I think was a great deal!

  • Exchange or return within 30 days of purchase, with tags attached and original receipt.
  • Exchanges can be made at Burberry outlets internationally (except Brazil, Mainland China, Japan and Korea).

So that wraps up my latest Burberry purchase! I know I've done a lot of shopping and showed you my goodies recently, so we'll shift gears a little bit next week. I think my wallet needs a break too...

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend! :)
