Shop: Texas

Hello friends, Happy Friday! Who else is excited for the weekend?

Today, I'm bringing you along to San Marcos Premium Outlet and showing you what I got. If you haven't read my last post about what/where I ate in Texas, you can click right here. I'm seriously craving more sushi at Lucky Robot... Now onto the shopping!

There are two outlets in San Marcos right across the 234 Centerpoint Rd from each other: Tanger Outlet (list of stores here) and San Marcos Premium Outlet (list of stores here). I went to the Premium Outlet on the right.

The stores I was particularly interested in are Burberry, Gucci, Prada and Kate Spade. Although there were a lot of cars in the parking lot, it was certainly not as busy as the outlets in California get on a Friday afternoon. I can easily find parking and I parked in front of Burberry.

Clearly spent way too much last time I was here, I was excited to be back and see what's new in store.
Burberry Bags
They were doing additional 25% off bags and SLG's and that's the only promotion in store. My favorite promotion is when they do "20% off $400, 25% off $600 and 30% off $850," which was when I made my large purchase last time.
Burberry Haymarket Pouchette
I really liked the little pouchette (above), which came down to a little over $200, but eventually decided it might be too small for me. I also liked a few men's wallet, since I was looking for one for my dad. I texted him pictures, but he didn't like any of them :(.

The next store is Kate Spade, which was full of candy colors and the cutest ice cream-themed items.

Right: How adorable are these Popsicle key chains?
I love these necklaces and earrings for spring. Unfortunately, they were new arrivals and not on sale...

Also, I had to try on this adorable Imagination Monster Shoulder Bag ($227, additional 25% off with code CAKE).
Funny story: I was wearing this Tory Burch navy dress that day and so many sales associates were asking me if I works for Tory! I said no, I just love the dress.
I got this dress last spring from Tory Burch outlet and it was my first Tory piece. I think I paid $120 or $140 for it, which was certainly a lot. But I have worn it so much last year (and received a lot of compliments too!). I continue to love it and excited to wear it every time. This dress is a great reminder for myself to buy better and only buy what you love. Okay, enough rambling about this dress.
How cute are these watches?
Then I walked in DVF, which is a store I always go in, but have never bought anything (until now). The entire store was an additional 30% off. They also had strawberry and lemon infused-water and popcorns by the register, which certainly contributed to how long I stayed there ;). A DVF signature wrap dress is such a classic and has been on my wishlist for a long time, so when I found the sales rack by the fitting room (50 - 70% off!), I was obligated to try on a few.
New Julian Two S/S
I always gravitate toward A-line dresses, since I have a wider hip. But after losing some weight recently, I thought maybe I could add some form-fitting dresses to my collection. These DVF dresses look and make me feel more grown-up. I find them run true to size, but I would recommend sizing up if you have a larger chest. I've also tried the size up, which had extra fabric around the shoulder, so I went with my original size. After a long and hard decision, I chose the blue one (left). I also got one (below) in a short sleeve.

New Julian Two (Garden Daisy Multi)
The service was amazing! Since it was my first time trying them on, the associate showed me how to tie the dress, constantly checked on me and suggested different styles.

These two dresses came down to $70 each (originally $398). Although I find DVF wrap dresses at Nordstrom Rack quite often, they were rarely under $100. The fabric is very soft and stretchy (90% cotton, 10% silk), but requires dry cleaning (I'll just hand wash...). The wrap does move around if you walk a lot or sit down, but I've read online that it helps when you wear a slip or shapewear underneath.
I also got this cutest little fur bag (left), Love Power Tipped Fox Puff Bag ($118.80 online) for $83! I can't wait to take it to holiday parties this year. IPhone 6 was a snug fit, but the card slots on the inside certainly help with downsizing.

I also really liked this fox fur collar (right), which came down to $174 (originally $498). I wasn't sure how it would fit in my closet (need to check my close first since I was traveling), but I'm still interested if I come across this again in the future.

Then there was Prada, which ran out of my size in every shoe! Disappointing...

The last store was Gucci and I literally want everything they have right now. I've been obsessed with the Daily Blooms print since it was released last spring and seriously want this bag ($1129, originally $1890). One of these days, it's gonna happen.
So that wraps up all my shopping at San Marcos Premium Outlet! I highly recommend this place next time you are in the area.

As mentioned in my last post, we also walked around and checked out the boutiques on SoCo (South Congress) and 6th Street. I'm sharing some of the cutest displays below and one thing I picked up.
How adorable are these Unicorn mugs?

Love the left-most and right-most pairs!

Right: So many pretty pouches

I paid full-price ($34, but it's sold out everywhere!) for this Rifle Paper Co x LeSportsac Cosmetic Bag (left), which pairs so well with the Peter Jensen one (right) I got from Nordstrom Rack and use for toiletries.
So that's all the shopping I've done in Texas last week!

Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend! Hope to see you back here next week!
