Shopping Haul: Memorial Day Weekend 2017

Hello friends, how was your weekend?

I saw Wonder Woman this weekend and it was really good! I'm at Albuquerque, NM for work these two days and hopefully you've seen some of my adventures on my Insta Story. Today, I'm sharing with you all the goodies I picked up during Memorial Day sales: Nordstrom Rack, Anthropologie, J Crew Factory, and Kate Spade. I've got a little bit of everything: for work, weekends, summer and even fall!

1. Rebecca Taylor Ref Suiting Pietra Pant (Sold out)
Self: 97% viscose, 3% elastane; Lining: 100% polyester
Size 4 (Paid $61.43)

You might be surprised to hear that I actually don't have a pair of formal black pants. Finding the perfect pair of jeans is hard for me, but finding the perfect pair of black trousers is even harder. I hate when pockets make my hips look wider. This is a work wardrobe staple I've been searching for a long time and I'm so glad I finally found it! Other than the waist being a little loose (definitely needs a belt), everything else is perfect. Here, I've paired it with my VB for Target stripe collared top (You can see my other pieces from this collection here).

2. ATM Square Front Sport Blazer ($227 at Neiman Marcus)
Shell: 100% wool; Lining: 51% acetate, 49% nylon
Size 6 (Paid $59.19)

I felt like a total winner when I saw this blazer, which I've tried on before, but can't justify the price, was reduced to 90% off (originally $650) and in my size! It's a lightweight wool blazer and makes a great transitional piece. It can be dressed up with the black trousers above or dressed down with jeans. I'm so excited to add this to my closet for many years to come!

3. Trina Turk Rosalva Print Silk Kimono (Currently $38.92)
Shell: 92% silk, 8% spandex: Lining: 100% polyester
Size S (Paid $56.18)

After reading Dallas Shaw's The Way She Wears It (as mentioned in my April & May Favorites), I'm inspired to add a kimono to my closet. I love the colorfulness and the fringes of this kimono and I've already worn it a few times. It's the perfect layer when it's a little chilly at the movie theater or on the plane!

4. Free People Romantic Ruffles Jacket ($148 at Free People)
Material: 98% cotton, 2% spandex; Size S (Paid $44.98)

I love how it combines the masculinity of a military-inspired jacket with feminine details -- the ruffles. It can be easily thrown over many outfits for an effortless look. I think I'll get a lot of use out of it when the weather gets colder again.

5. Free People On The Vine Tank (Currently $51.20)
Shell: 100% polyester; Rib: 65% polyester, 33% cotton, 2% metallic
Size S (Paid $38.40)

I love this top, although I'm not sure how (probably with a bralette) and where (the pool?) I will wear it...

6. Leith Cutout Back Maxi Dress (Sold out)

Material: 100% rayon; Size M (Paid $22.48)

This dress is so beautiful and such a bargain! The straps are a little too long for me, but I can't wait to wear it once I get them tailored.

7. Nike Mesh Sleeve Top ($45 at Dick's)
Material: 85% polyester, 15% lyocell; Size S (Paid $18.73)

I'm not a big fan of cropped tops, but I love this length for workout tops. I've been wearing it almost every day and it goes with all my leggings!

8. In Bloom by Jonquil Paisley Wrap ($40.80 at Saks, similar one from Nordstrom Rack)
Material: 95% polyester, 5% spandex; Size M (Paid $18.73)

I'm obsessed with robes! I generally stay away from polyester, but decided to take a chance on this because of the print. I'm so glad I did! The spandex makes it very soft and the print looks even better in person! I find the In Bloom robes are a little short on me, so I sized up and the fit was perfect.

9. Floreat Maryana Open-Shoulder Blouse (Sold out)
Material: sheer lyocell; polyester lining; Size S (Paid $17.97)

I'm still very into the cold shoulder/off the shoulder trend. I've already worn this a few times and surprisingly love the orange color!

10. J Crew Factory Strawberry Collector T-shirt (Currently $32.50)
Material: 100% cotton; Size S (Paid $15.51)

There are so many fruits items in stores now and this T-shirt is so cute!

I also love this watermelon tank ($26.50) and shorts ($19.95). The watermelon tank is almost identical to the one I got from J Crew last year (below).
My collection of fruit tops: Watermelon tank (J Crew); Pineapple tee (Tory Burch)

Matching phone case, business card holder and jelly sandal
11. Kate Spade Fanley Sandal (Currently $55)
Material: rubber with rubber heel; Size 6 (Paid $39.99)

I got these from Saks Off Fifth and they are even more sparkly in person! Can't wait to wear them to the pool this summer!

12. Kate Spade Simply Sparkling Card Holder (Currently $24, Paid $18)

So that wraps up all the goodies I picked up from Memorial Day weekend!

Thank you for stopping by and have a nice day! :)
