Mother's Day Gift Guide 2017

Hello friends, how's your weekend going?

Mother's Day is only a week away and today I'm sharing with you my Mother's Day Gift Guide. Don't forget: Triple Points is still going on until Sunday, 5/7 at Nordstrom, Nordstrom Rack and HauteLook. Many of the beauty gifts featured below are 10% off and also has Gift with Purchase. Perfect time for Mother's Day Gift shopping!

The theme for this Gift Guide is to pamper our busy moms and make them feel special and relaxed on this day. I've included both luxe and wallet-friendly items below. You can do a gift basket with some of these items, throwing in her favorite snacks, tea or wine. Don't forget some flowers! Check out Trader Joe's or Costco for wine and bouquets. I've also listed a few ideas at the end in case you don't have time to do any shopping.

  1. Sisley Paris Duo Instant Youth ($320 and Gift with Purchase)
  2. SK-II Facial Treatment Essence 11oz (Costco $189.99, regular $290): If you are not a Costco member, you can still get it now from Nordstrom for 10% off ($261).
  3. Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Recovery Complex II Duo ($148.50, 10% off and Gift with Purchase): A staple in my mom's skincare routine and she says she really notices a difference.
  4. Barefoot Dreams Cardigan ($98)
  5. Michael Todd Sonic Eraser Duo 3-in-1 Anti-Aging Eye Corrector ($89 and Gift with Purchase): I bought this in July last year and I love using it at night, especially after a long day. It warms up (thermal warming technology) as you massage your eye cream in. My mom tried it a few times and enjoyed it too. It's also easy to clean after.
  6. Yves Saint Laurent Volupté Lip Gloss Trio ($64)
  7. Shiseido Youthful Eye Solution Duo ($55): The eye mask is also available on its own ($58.50, 10% off) and in this mask set ($34.20, 10% off)
  8. Barefoot Dreams Trimmed Throw ($49.97): Also available in other solid colors and chevron print ($52.97).
  9. Voluspa Maison Blanc Two-Wick Tin Candle Trio ($40): There also a mini trio ($21) with 3 other scents.
  10. World Tour: Vintage Hotel Labels from the Collection of Gaston-Louis Vuitton ($35.96): This makes a great gift for any Louis Vuitton lover. If you're considering getting her something from Louis Vuitton this year, I highly recommend the Emilie Wallet ($480) or Rosalie Coin Purse ($370). I have used and loved (and still love!) both.

Target has become such a one-stop shop nowadays and should carry all (except 2 and 10 below) of these in stores if you need to get a last-minute gift.
  1. MISSHA Time Revolution The First Treatment Essence 150 ml ($49): A wallet-friendly alternative to the SK-II one mentioned above. I'm on my third bottle now and have definitely noticed a difference in my skin's moisture level when I don't use it.
  2. Fortify Your Life: Your Guide to Vitamins, Minerals, and More by Tieraona Low Dog ($14.83): One of the best books I've read last year! I've been recommending this to friends and family, especially those new to vitamins and supplements. It was very informative (full of my highlights) and easy to read.
  3. Burt's Bees Lemon and Vitamin E Body and Bath Oil - 4 oz ($7.79): I've used several of these. The scent is refreshing and the oil is lighter in consistency compared to others. Pour some into a bath and your skin will feel so moisturized after -- no need for lotion (perfect for busy moms). I personally believe this is the same as Burt's Bees Mama Bee Nourishing Body Oil - 4 oz ($5.19), just different packaging. The ingredients are the same and listed in the same order. They also smell the same to me. So in case your Target runs out of one, you can get the other. If you are looking for something thicker in consistency, I also recommend SheaMoisture Coconut & Hibiscus Bath Body & Massage Oil 8 oz ($8.99).
  4. MISSHA Time Revolution The First Treatment Essence Mask ($7): Again, a wallet-friendly alternative to the SK-II one ($95 for 6, $135 for 10 masks). When my skin is super dehydrated after traveling, this is what I reach for. It comes as a two-piece, whereas the SK-II one is one-piece.
  5. Mrs. Meyer's Scented Soy Candle Geranium - 4.9 oz ($6.99)
  6. Yes to Coconut Protecting Hand and Cuticle Cream - 3 oz ($5.99): My mom and I love this hand cream. It's very moisturizing, absorbs well and highly recommend if your mom loves coconut scent.
  7. Mrs. Meyer's Hand Soap Peony - 12.5 oz ($3.99): I've been obsessed with this hand soap (and I still have 3 backups!) since I discovered it two years ago. I was using this in the lady's room at work and so many co-workers asked me what it is and bought one themselves. It's a fresh floral scent that's not too sweet and most importantly, not stripping! Target carries a few items in this scent and I'm equally obsessed with the spray surface cleaner ($3.99). There's also a gift set with this hand soap and matching lotion (on sale for $7.99) on Mrs. Meyer's website.
  8. SheaMoisture Peace Rose Hair Mask Packettes - 2 oz ($2.49): I love this peace rose scent and have used many products in this scent. This hair mask would be great during a relaxing bath.
  9. EcoTools EcoNet Recycled Bath Sponge ($1.97)
  10. Epsom Salt Bath Soaks: I recommend getting them from TJ Maxx. They have a large selection of scents and always at a great price.
If you don't have time to do any shopping, here are a few ideas:
  • Massage/Facial: Make an appointment for her if she goes to one regularly. If not, find a local spa on Groupon.
  • Cook or order her favorite meal.
  • Go shopping together and buy her what she likes at the store.
  • Go to a wine tasting together.
Most importantly, don't forget to tell her how much you love her :).

Thank you for stopping by and hope to see you next week!
