Today, I'm sharing with you my latest Gucci addition: Circus Embroided GG Supreme Clutch. Alessandro Michele is really shaking things up with Gucci, which is killing it at the moment! You can still get this exact one at TJ Maxx ($449.99, retail: $650)! It also comes in a Wallet on a Chain ($699.99). Below, I will talk you through my purchasing story, details of this clutch, what fits inside and how it looks on me.
BTW: In case you didn't know, TJ Maxx carries quite a collection of designer pieces online, called "The Runway" (Check out their designer handbags here).
I've seen this clutch on TJ Maxx for at least a month. Liked the look, but not sure if the circus would be too funky for me. I couldn't pull the trigger. While I was shopping the Anniversary Sale at Nordstrom one day. I walked to Charlotte Tilbury on my way out, even though I already got the new releases (See my Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Haul here). I was talking to one of the associates and we were looking up something at the register of the next counter (I think it was Bobby Brown). Then this woman walked over to check out, pulled out her wallet, and there it was: the Circus GG Clutch! It was so eye-catching and different. My jaw dropped.
I asked her where she got it from. She said enthusiastically, "TJ Maxx and I saved $200!" I said, "I know! I've been looking at it, but not sure if it'll work for me." She said she loves it and has been using it as a wallet (inside a bigger bag). I asked her if I could hold it and look at the inside. She kindly let me. The canvas, embellishment and embroidery looked and felt durable. Loved the red lining. The color of the zipper part also matches the embroidered lips. It's much bigger that I thought. There's a zip pocket in addition to card slots to keep everything organized. I thanked her and raced out of Nordstrom, crossing my fingers it would be still available. And it was! I debated between the clutch version and the WOC, but ultimately decided on the clutch, because of the $250 price difference. It was delivered last Friday and I'm so happy to add this to my collection!

- If embroidery is not your thing, it also comes in a plain GG canvas ($520).
- The only downside with this clutch is the zipper part extends beyond the clutch and hangs. I could no longer find the circus one on Gucci's website, so I guess this Garden one ($690) must be new. Love the embroidery, the zipper is also tucked in.

- Buying from TJ Maxx: The package was packed well with lots of cushion. The Gucci box was packed inside another box with the TJ Maxx item number and barcode. As you can see, you get everything you would get in a retail store inside the box.
- Return Policy: Runway handbags under $500 can be returned in stores and by mail ($9.99 return shipping will be charged) within 30 days from the order date. Returns after 30 days will receive a merchandise credit. Handbags over $500 can only be returned by mail. Read the full return policy here.
Given the small size, I know it'll be a grab-and-go (running errands/grocery shopping) or evening clutch for me. Since it arrived last Friday, I've only taken it out once grocery shopping.
I only packed the essentials: my phone, lip balm, eye drops, grocery list (in the zipper pocket), a pen, my keys and a few credit cards. Although I don't think you can fit a pair of sunglasses (even in a soft case), there's still some room left if you want to bring more. For a night out, you can easily throw in a lipstick/lip liner, sample-sized perfume and some cash (in the zipper pocket).

I think it looks great with casual (even workout) clothes as well as dressy outfits.

- I really don't like the new GG logo, which definitely reminds me of Covergirl. That's the reason why I'm not attracted to the new GG Marmont bags, which are very popular right now. I certainly appreciate how small and subtle the logo is on this clutch.

I got a silk scarf (from 2015 I believe) earlier this year for a little over $100! Look for iconic and heritage details: the web stripe (red and green), GG monogram, horsebit, bamboo details etc, which will hardly go out of style. Here's a look at my Gucci collection:
