The Charlotte Tilbury (CT) Hollywood Lips Liquid Lipstick ($34, same price as her lipsticks) is finally here and I'm so excited! It's hard to find liquid lipsticks that are not drying, don't settle in your lines and last a long time. Below, I'll share with you the swatches, how they look on me and my first impressions. I have 3 out of the 10 shades in this line (left to right above): Too bad I'm bad, Show Girl, and Screen Siren. I only planned on getting the later two shades, which are perfect for fall and winter. But when I picked them up, I ended up getting the first shade as well, which looks great year-round. Oops!
In addition to the liquid lipsticks, there are also the contour ($38), highlight wands ($38) and a dual-ended complexion brush ($40) in this collection. I was mostly interested in the liquid lipsticks and here are the swatches:
Next, I'll show you the close-ups from CT's website and how they look on me side-by-side.
- Scent: same vanilla scent as her other lipsticks
- The formula feels like mouse, but easy to spread. As you can see from the swatches, you can get quite a bit from the tube. Just wipe off any excess.
- I didn't use any lip liner when I applied, but you can certainly use one to get a precise application.
- So far, I've worn it twice for 3 - 4 hours. It wasn't drying and lasted well through eating and drinking.
- In terms of removal, it easily comes off with a makeup remover or warm water and a tissue.
So that wraps up my new CT purchases! It's pretty much the only brand of luxury makeup I splurge on nowadays. On Friday, I'm showing you my first pair of Prada shoes and we'll chat about Labor Day Weekend sales!
